Women in Business
We are pleased to announce that the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber and Women in Business have agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to develop closer links. The advantages to members will flow through in time with cross promotions, better coordination of events, and discounted memberships.
Women in Business, who they are
Women in Business Wagga Wagga Inc. was formed when a need for a women’s business and networking group was identified. A number of local businesses and professional women gathered on 12 November 2003 to identify the objectives of such a group and it was agreed that we would become an Incorporated body. The organisation was officially launched by the Hon. Kay Hull MP, Member for Riverina on 25 February 2004.
Many of the women who originally gathered to brainstorm the aims and objectives had participated in a program conducted by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development’s Women in Business Unit. The program proved very popular and beneficial to all participants and was the catalyst for the formation of the successful organisation we are today.
Women in Business and the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber will remain separate organisations each with its own identity and objectives.
