Miss Wagga Wagga Quest
The Miss Wagga Wagga Quest is not about beauty or swimwear - it is about having fun, being yourself and as a bonus, the program is an amazing opportunity for advancing your career and personal goals. Not only will the Quest assist you in achieving many of your goals, it also serves as an excellent vehicle for you to give back to the community through charitable work.
The Miss Wagga Wagga Quest is steeped in history and tradition with the inaugural event being contested in 1948 with Miss Thena Karofilis being crowned the first ever Miss Wagga Wagga. Since then the Quest hasn't looked back and is now one of the longest continuous running charity events of its type in Australia and has raised over two million dollars for local charities and clubs.
Whilst fundraising is a major part of the Quest, Miss Wagga Wagga also offers you the opportunity to acquire new skills and self confidence. In fact, it isn't judged by how much money you raise, rather it is judged by how you perform throughout the competition in regards to personal growth and development. The judges look for a wide variety of skills and attributes such as how you work as part of a team, your presentation skills and your commitment to the cause.
Another aim of Miss Wagga Wagga is to find a representative for the communtiy, someone that will act as an ambassador for Wagga Wagga to not only the region, but to the world. One of the official duties of Miss Wagga Wagga is travelling to one of our sister cities, either Leavenworth, U.S.A or Nordlingen, Germany, with the goal of forming closer cultural ties. The cost of these flights are kindly donated by Qantas and QantasLink who have supported the Quest for 43 years, one of the longest and most enduring sponsorship programs seen in this country.

To enter the competition you will need to be a female over the age of 18 years. You'll also need to find a business or individual to sponsor you the entrance fee. The Miss Wagga Wagga Quest is a demanding one, and will take up a lot of your time, but there is nothing more rewarding than volunteering your time and talent to make the community where you live and work a better place.

The Wagga Wagga Business Chamber has long and proud history representing the business community in Wagga Wagga.
However, this is not the whole story, the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber has also played a vital part in the growth of the sporting and social aspects of Wagga Wagga.
Through Community Advance Fund (CAF) the Chamber has contributed countless funds and trophies to many of the sporting groups around the Wagga Wagga district for over 60 years.
Not only has the sporting fraternity benefited from the generosity of the Chamber but many social groups have also received support, funds and donations to assist their particular cause.
The Miss Wagga Wagga Quest has been a Chamber institution since 1948 as a fund raising event to support various charities for the Wagga Wagga community. As one of the oldest contests of its type, the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest continues to raise for worthy causes and shows no signs of slowing down.
The Current Chamber board is looking to return to the spirit of the CAF program in 2011 with small grants again begining available for sporting and social groups.
